Ways To Go Green in Beaverton for 2020

As green dentists, we believe in preserving this beautiful planet and protecting it for future generations. That’s why we are committed to innovative, green healthcare practices. Beaverton TenderCare Dental was the first dental practice in Oregon to be awarded a Gold Certificate by The Eco-Dentistry Association (EDA).

Our community of Beaverton, Oregon also shares our eco-friendly enthusiasm. Beaverton has been “Tree City USA” for over 25 years. To be recognized as Tree City USA, a town or city must meet four standards established by The Arbor Day Foundation and the National Association of State Foresters.

Beaverton has also been a “Green Power Community” with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since 2007. GPCs are cities, towns, and villages in which the local government, businesses, and residents collectively buy green power in amounts that meet or exceed EPA’s Green Power Community purchase requirements.

To help protect Oregon’s beautiful nature, we’d like to share some ways for your family to go green in Beaverton this year:

  • Volunteer at a local tree planting event. Friends of Trees has many events all over the Portland Metro area. Trees help conserve energy, reduce storm-water runoff and improve the air we breathe.
  • Clean energy for your home: go solar! Solar Beaverton and Solar Oregon’s program offers a low cost and a streamlined process to bring you affordable renewable energy.
  • Spend time in the beautiful Beaverton Parks and Trails.
